Senior home transitions in Lee and Collier counties
Before you spend money preparing your home, let’s talk about what is worth doing.
If you are considering a move after many years in the same home, I can help you think through repairs, updates, and where to begin. I bring more than 23 years of real estate experience and a background in construction.

I start with two lists, not a renovation wish list.
Before recommending work, I consider the home, your priorities, and what a move would involve.
What may deserve attention
- Condition concerns that a buyer or an inspector is likely to notice, such as roofing, plumbing, or moisture.
- Deferred maintenance that has been waiting a while and may affect how the home shows.
- Practical preparation, like decluttering or a thorough cleaning, that helps the home present well.
- Items tied to safety or to documentation that may come up during the sale.
What may not justify the expense
- Substantial cosmetic renovations that cost a great deal before the home is even on the market.
- Personal taste upgrades chosen without knowing who is likely to buy the home.
- Projects that would delay a move you already feel ready to make.
- Work that duplicates something a buyer may prefer to choose for themselves.
These lists depend on your home. Our first conversation is a starting point, and I may need more information or a visit before making specific recommendations.
Your home does not need a generic checklist.
- 1
What condition the home is in
I look at how the home has been maintained and where age or wear may raise questions later in the process.
- 2
What matters to you about the move
Your timing, your budget, and how much disruption you want to take on all change what makes sense to do.
- 3
What needs a closer look before you spend
Some questions cannot be answered over the phone. I will tell you when something deserves a closer review.
My background in construction and project management shapes how I ask these questions. I am used to looking at how a house is put together, scoping work, and coordinating the people who do it, so the conversation stays practical rather than theoretical.

I’m Elise. I help you understand the decisions ahead.
I am a broker with more than 23 years in real estate, and I hold the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation, which is training focused on the questions that come with selling a longtime home later in life. Before real estate I worked in construction and project management, so I am comfortable talking about what a repair actually involves.
- Explaining contracts and each step of the transaction in plain language
- Talking through repairs and updates using a construction background
- Coordinating with the professionals a move may require
- Staying hands on from the first conversation through closing
